The book Beyond Design Ethnography edited by Prof. Nicolas Nova along with Lysianne Léchot-Hirt of HEAD–Genève (CH), and Fabienne Kilchör and Sebastien Fasel explores the designerly approach to field research and ethnography, seeking to challenge the assumptions of designers, students and consultants to update their approaches. It presents a series of case studies from designers and practitioners. One of the case studies examines our Song of the Machine project, exploring the near future implications of prosthetic vision and optogenetics.
