Published in the ARPA journal from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. This article discusses the growing interest in drones and the challenges around regulations, cities, and infrastructure. We also explore what happens when drone technology enters civil airspace, and they start flying all around us. We take snippets from the Drone Aviary project and investigate our intentions, process, and conceptual underpinnings of the project.
